THE BIG DEAL

The Zodiac Collector ebook for $2.99

Zodiac-collector (2)

Distant Relatives?

When I found Julian Alexander at the Renaissance Faire a couple of years ago, I thought I’d found a truly original, fantastical, magical creature. He was so fantabulous, that he earned a cameo in The Zodiac Collector. (Both sisters, Anne and Mary, have a Drabbit-like creature.) Drabbits are part dragon and part rabbit. Interested in more info? Check out this website HERE, where Drabbits are born.

Julian is refined, intellectual, and driven.

Today, I met Julian’s distant cousin, Labbitus Tigrus Rotundii, AKA the Labbit.

Mustachioed, chubby, and prone to binge-watching Netflix, the Labbit tends to be more of a wallflower than the Drabbit, but you must admit, he’s just as fantastical.

So, what say you? Are these animals distant relatives or utterly and entirely independent species?

Book blurb:

Three full length novels in one supernatural collection.

In THE BIRD WITH THE BROKEN WING, a guardian angel finds herself trapped in Purgatory with a young soldier she was assigned to watch over. She knows the terrible secret that’s keeping him trapped in limbo, but can’t understand why she’s stuck with him.

In FEEDBACK, three teenagers receive the organs of deceased CIA agent and take on the task of completing the mission the spy died midway through, that of deactivating bacteria bombs threatening millions of lives.

In LITTLE RED GEM, bad advice from a ghost, magic courtesy of an unsuspecting half-sister, and a televised music talent show see this teen make more of a mess in death than she ever made in life.

That’s over 500 pages of action, drama, adventure, teen issues, and romance in one unputdownable book.

THE ZODIAC COLLECTOR Comes Out In ONE WEEK!!!

20140528-232237.jpg

Hey gang! I’m SUPER STOKED about Zodiac’s release next week. On Tuesday, September 23, 2014, The Zodiac Collector is officially available in ebook and paperback. YAY!!!

Here’s an early review from a reader:

5 stars

A well-written and very unique story, with smart and likable characters, unlike any other book I’ve read. Since I read so much, it doesn’t happen very often that I come across a truly unique book, which captivates me from the first page. There was nothing I didn’t like, and lots that I liked a lot.

SQUEE!!!!

Here’s info on Zodiac, in case you want to take a gander:

B&N

As a bit of a pre-release celebration, I’m going to be signing at Chapter By Chapter Book Rave (The Big Apple Author Signing!) in New Rochelle, NY on Saturday, September 20. It’s hosted by Jennifer L. Armentrout!!! Lots of FAB authors will be there–can’t wait to meet and greet everyone!

Another update: I recently received rights back for my shifter series (New Pride and Shifting Pride) and my YA dystopian duology (Endure and Evoke), SO they’re temporarily unavailable at this time while I ponder what do do with them. 😉

Tsavo Pride (A Shifter Short Story) is still available on Amazon.com. And my novella, Sunset Moon, is still in LORE.

BEA Saturday 5/31–signing ARCs of Zodiac Collector

I’m SO excited to be taking part in Spencer Hill Press’s author signings this week at Book Expo America. This will be my first ever signing and I’ll be signing ARCs of ZODIAC COLLECTOR!

I’ll be signing at the Spencer Hill booth #2567 on Saturday at 1PM. I hope to see you there–don’t hesitate to stop by, introduce yourself, say hello, & grab an ARC. I can’t wait to sign a copy for you! 😉

I’ll also have fun swag: bookmarks with the *original* cover art.

Flake-out Friday–The Magic Is In the Details

It’s important to weave details throughout your novel. But man, it’s way easier said than done.

That’s what makes reading other authors’ work so important.

A fine example is Peter Abrahams Down the Rabbit Hole. It’s a middle grade mystery but reads like any good, solid, intricate masterpiece that I can think of. Abrahams’ talent lies particularly in the art of sprinkling his plot with details that keep the reader reading.

Seriously, it’s a brilliant read.

What novels have you read that have fine tuned detail weaving?
