TSAVO PRIDE BLOG BLITZ–Going Full On Indie ;)

Tsavo Pride Banner

HI GANG!

I’m soooooo excited to share my new short story, TSAVO PRIDE. It’s a spin off based on the man-eating lions of Tsavo, so it has a decidedly horroresque bent. For those of you who read Shifting Pride, you know that the lions of Tsavo made a cameo appearance. Now, they have their own story.

Here’s a teaser trailer on YouTube:

Blurb:

Rogue shapeshifters, Santamo and Legeny, believe they are kings blessed with the power to shift into lions. Using that strength, they brutally defend their land from the British building the Ugandan Railroad that threatens their way of life. On a particularly ruthless raid, Santamo meets his match—Naserian. He spares the girl’s life, a move that fractures his relationship with Legeny and blurs his visions of cleansing his territory of invaders.

While the pile of bones in Santamo and Legeny’s cave grows, so does Santamo’s attraction to Naserian. When she challenges him to give up his murderous ways, will Santamo stay on the path of death he believes is his duty, or will he choose Naserian, and love?

TSAVO PRIDE is NOW AVAILABLE via Amazon for $0.99! Amazon Prime members can borrow it for free. 😉

Several blogging buds are helping me spread the word, so I’d like to thank them by linking to their sites. Feel free to check ’em out.

Do check out Danielle Fine’s website. She designed the cover and edited Tsavo Pride. Thanks, Danielle!

I have a special interview post on Gareth Young’s blog. It was a lot of fun to put together, so head on over to learn more about me and my writing. 😉

As a final send off, this Wednesday is another edition of the Indie Life. I’d just like to point out that I would have never attempted to self publish anything if it weren’t for this fabulous group of authors. They took the plunge into the deep, vast waters of publishing and have steered their own course to success. Thanks for being an inspiration! 😉

INDIE LIFE = COMMUNITY

The Indie LIfe to me means COMMUNITY.

The act of writing itself can be very solitary and when we’re alone in our heads for any extended period of time, we may lose perspective. Those doubts (they like to hide in shadows and attack when you’re alone) can run rampant.

Connecting with other Indie writers/authors allows me to extend outside of myself, commiserate with others going through the same challenges, and network/learn how to navigate the complicated publishing industry.

Being part of something keeps me going.

How about you?

What do you think about the Indie Community?

Here’s some info on how you can get involved in the Indie Life:

Starting January 2013, the Indelibles started hosting a monthly feature called INDIE LIFE. Modeled after Alex Cavanaugh’s awesome Insecure Writer’s Group, this will be a chance for indie authors to post about indie life, find each other, offer support, encouragement, news, helpful hints, and anything else that makes life as an indie author a little easier.

The Indie Life and Shape-shifters 101

Author of The Kabrini Message, JR Egles, is hosting me on her blog. My post is about Shape-shifters 101 and includes and excerpt of Shifting Pride! 🙂

Here’s the YouTube book trailer for The Kabrini Message, an epic sci-fi that I absolutely CAN’T WAIT to read!

**********

The Indelibles are at it again! They’re launching a monthly blog support group highlighting the Indie Life. Today is the first post, so I thought I’d share a tidbit of my journey. A lot of youse guys have been FABULOUS, helping me with blog blitzes and blog tours and spreading the word on FB, Twitter, etc. Because of YOUR HELP, NEW PRIDE and SHIFTING PRIDE have done so much better than my wildest dreams. (Shifting Pride almost broke into the 10,000s in rank and it’s only been out for a month!)

And that’s pretty much my point. The thing that I treasure about the Indie Life is it comes with a BUILT IN SUPPORT NETWORK.

Breaking into the publishing industry, especially now since there’s so much flux, is nigh impossible, but Indies are making it possible.

So, the Indie Life is: MAKING THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE.

WOOT!

Go Indies!!!!
