Flake-out Friday–Have you seen this? Huh, have you?!

Today’s post is a hodgepodge of sorts.

First, I’d like to share some “Oooh, this made me feel good news!” Clarissa Draper, blogger extraordinaire offers free chapter critiques on her blog and the first chapter of TALENT’S BLOOD (my YA Dystopian) was featured this week. Here’s the post, if you’re so inclined. You can sign up for your own chapter critique too!

My first chapter was also critiqued and posted by Lynnette Labelle. Lynnette is a certified copyeditor and proofreader, editor of LoveBytes (RWA Online’s newsletter), and she writes romantic suspense. She also manages an online writers’ support group called Writers on Writing and a critique group called Rumored Romantics. Here’s the link to her critique.

Maggie Stiefvater is having a cover contest for her latest book, FOREVER. Click here for the deets! (It’s super cool, so if you’re a fan, you won’t wanna miss this! Contest ends 10/19.)

This was a short post, but I feel overwhelmed by the amount of information, lol. I suppose I shall start by following the critique I haven’t read yet and work my way down from there. Oh and I can’t wait for the next Harry Potter movie…when I watch them I’m still fourteen ;p

Thanks for the links. It’s great to get your worked critiqued. Good for you for being proactive. And, I am very happy for Christine!!

  6. Awesome! You have got to keep us posted on the progress of Talent’s Blood. I so wish I were in your writers group so I could read more right now instead of waiting for the book to come out.

Congratulations on all your hard work! You’ve made a fan out of me.

And I’m adding Clarrisa to my blogroll. 🙂
